[Article] Careful of Machines, Soul

Driverless cars, smart devices, robotic processors, artificial intelligence, autonomic computing ... in a world increasingly connected by the Internet of (every) Thing. That's the disruption or revolution, our planet is currently witnessing.

But, when we envision a future (see the movie Passengers, for a sense of the world of the future), we have to understand the implications for the human civilization. Issac Asimov unveiled, more than 75 years back, the early versions of the laws of robotics. It is probably now time to take cognizance of these to ensure the world we create and live in will ensure we do so still with the tenets that make (or made?) us humans.

A good article on this topic was recently published in the Economic Times (ET, India)
